Ashtanga Yoga for beginners

Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series is a style of yoga that works with the same set sequence of postures which are introduced gradually to the students and developed within the group. It comprises - Sun Salutations to warm the body up, followed by standing postures for strength and focus, then floor work for flexibility, back bends and inversions. It is generally accepted to be a strong yoga practice which is why it appeals to both men and women alike.

This is the practice for those students who are interested in achieving a high level of fitness, strength, flexibility and focus; and which will in time become a very effective meditative practice guided by the yoga teacher.
